Among them, ladoo play an important part in itLadoo can be of different types like besan ladoo, coconut ladoo, til ladoo,etc.

Even though you can make ladoo as a dessert in order to offer after dinner or lunchYou can make them on every festival like Deshra, Navratri, Ganpati Festival, Makar Sankranti, Holi, etcto offer to deities as bhog.

  1. Besan Ladoo :

Besan Ladoo is very tasty and deliciousIt is very easy to make at homeYou can make this recipe within one hour.

 

  1. Coconut Ladoo :

Coconut Ladoo

Coconut Ladoo is made mainly made up of grated coconut and sugarYou can use wet coconut or dry coconut as you likeYou need only few things to make the coconut ladoo at homeThe procedure for making ladoo is also very easy.

So let’s start

Ingredients :

  1. Coconut – 2 cup (grated)

  2. Sugar – 2 cup

  3. Cardamom Powder- 1 tsp

  4. Water – 1 cup

  5. Ghee – 1 tsp

  6. Almonds or Cashews – 6 to 7 pieces

Procedure :

  1. Heat a pan add 1 tsp of ghee.

  2. Add 2 cups of grated coconut and mix it well for 5 minutes on low flame.

  3. For making sugar syrup heat a pan add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water.

  4. Allow the sugar syrup to cook on low flame until the sugar dissolvesThen turn off the flame.

  5. Add the sugar syrup to the fried grated coconut mixture and 1 tsp of cardamom powder.

  6. Mix it wellAllow the mixture to cool down.

  7. Take the small mixture in your palm and make small round shape ladoo.

  8. Like this make other ladoo and garnish coconut ladoo with almonds or cashews.

 3.Til Ladoo

Til Ladoo is mainly made up of til or sesame seeds and jaggeryYou can use sugar instead of jaggery if you don’t want to use jaggeryYou can also use whole sesame seeds or otherwise you can use grated sesame seeds powderTil Ladoo also made during Makarsankranti Festival.

Ingredients:

  1. Til or Sesame Seeds – 2 cups

  2. Jaggery – 1 cup

Process:

  1. Heat a pan or Kadhai then add 2 cups of sesame seedsFry them well for 2 minutes.

  2. Allow the seeds to cool down then grind them in a mixer.

  3. Take a mixer pot or grinder then add 1 cup of jaggery and grind it wellYou can use sugar instead of jaggery.

  4. Then add both mixture of grind sesame seeds and grind jaggeryGrind it well.

  5. Remove the grind mix in a plate then take mixture in your palm.

  6. Make til ladoos.

  1. Peanuts Ladoo –

Peanuts Ladoo is very rich in protein and carbohydratesPeanuts Ladoo is also known as Shengdana Ladoo or shengdanayeche laduPeanuts also known as groundnutsIt is mainly made up of peanuts and jaggeryYou can use sugar instead of jaggery same as til ladooYou can also use grated peanuts powder or roughly grated as you like.

Ingredients :

  1. Peanuts- 2 cups

  2. Jaggery- 1 cup

  3. Raisins – ½ cup

  4. Cashews – 4 to 5 pieces

Process :

  1. Heat a pan add 2 cups of peanuts or groundnuts and fry them for 5 minutes on medium flame.

  2. Allow the peanuts cool down for 2 hoursThen remove the outer covering of peanuts.

  3. Take a mixer add peanuts and grind them wellRemove it in a plate.

  4. Add 1 cup of jaggery and grind it well.

  5. Then add both grind mixture of peanuts and jaggery, grind it well

  6. Add ½ cup of raisins in the mixture and mix it wellTake the mix in your hand and make a small sized ladoo.

  7. Garnish the ladoo with cashews and your ladoo is ready to serve.

5.   Khajoor Ladoo –

Khajoor Ladoo is made of Khajoor and grated coconutDuring upvas or fasting vrat like navratri festival or Mahashivratri or Ekdashi you can consume these ladoo.

Ingredients –

  1. Khajur – 2 cups (seedless)

  2. Coconut – 1 cup (grated)

  3. Almonds – ½ cup (chopped)

Process-

First, take 1 cup of seedless khajur in a plateIf the khajur had seeds then remove all the seeds.

  1. Chopped the khajur roughly.

  2. Take a 1 cup of grated coconut.

  3. Take a grinder or mixer pot then add 1 cup of khajur and grind it fine.

  4. Then add ½ cup of grated coconut in the grind khajur mixture and again grind them.

  5. Remove the grind mixture in a plate and place the mixture in your palm and make a small round shape ball from itLike this, you can make khajur laddoo from remaining mixture.

  6. Garnish it with chopped almonds and khajur laddoo is ready to serve.

6.Dalai Ladoo

Dalai Ladoo is very tasty and mouthwateringYou must make it you don’t make itDalai Ladoo is made up of Dalai and sugar.

Ingredients –

  1. Dalai – 2 cups

  2. Fine Sugar – 1 1/2 cup

  3. Ghee – 1 cup

  4. Raisins – ½ cup

  5. Almonds or Cashews – 8 to 9 pieces

Process –

  1. Take a mixer or grinder pot to add 2 cups of Dalai and grind it well.

  2. Add 11/2 cup of grind sugar or fine sugar.

  3. Along with this add 1 tsp of gheeYou can add more ghee if you want.

  4. Grind the mixture wellThen remove the mixture in a plateAdd ½ cup of raisins in it.

  5. Take some mixture in your hand makes round shape ladoo.

  6. Garnish with almonds or cashews as you like.

  7. Your ladoo is ready to serve.

7.Atte ke Ladoo –

Atte ke ladoo is made up of wheat flour or ghehu atta, sugar and gheeIt is one of the delicious sweet you can make from wheat flour.

Ingredients –

  1. Atta (wheat flour) – 2 cups

  2. Fine Sugar – 1 ½ cups (grind)

  3. Ghee – 1 cup

  4. Raisins – ½ cup

  5. Cardamom Powder – 2 teaspoon

  6. Pistachios – 5 to 6 pieces

Process –

  1. Heat a pan add 1 teaspoon of ghee and add 2 teaspoons of cardamom powder.

  2. Add 2 cups of wheat flour or atta and mix it well for 5 minutes on medium flame.

  3. Allow it to cool down for a few minutes.

  4. Take 1 ½ cup of fine sugar or you can normal sugar grind it in mixer or grinder.

  5. In Mixer pot add roasted atta or wheat flour and fine sugar and slightly grind it.

  6. Add 1 cup of ghee to the atta and sugar mixture and again grind it.

  7. Remove the mixture in a plate then adds ½ cup of raisins in it.

  8. Take the mixture in your hand and make small size ladoo.

  9. Garnish the ladoo with chopped pistachios.

  1. Boondi Ladoo –

Boondi ladoo is made up of gram flour and sugarBoondi ladoo is similar to Mootichor ladooThe difference between them is that boondi ladoo has big boondi and mootichor ladoo has small boondi.

 Ingredients –

  1. Gram flour or Besan – 2 cups

  2. Water – 1 cup

  3. Sugar – 2 cups

  4. Cardamom Powder – 2 teaspoon

  5. Rose Water or Saffron Water – 2 teaspoon

  6. Oil or Ghee – 2 cups

  7. Melon Seeds or Magaz – ½ cup

  8. Raisins or Cashews – ½ cup

Process-

  1. Take a bowl add 2 cups of gram flour and add water slowly and make a smooth batter.

  2. Add saffron or rose water in the batter as you like.

  3. Heat a Pan or Kadhai add oil or ghee in it.

  4. You can use boondi ladle or dry perforated ladle or jhara to make round shape boondis.

  5. Add the batter on the jhara with the spoon and fry the boondis.

  6. At the same time heat a pan, adds sugar and water stir it until the sugar gets dissolved completely and reach to the one thread consistency.

  7. Add rose water or saffron water to the sugar syrup and mix it well.

  8. After frying the boondis add them directly to the hot sugar syrup.

  9. Add the cardamom powder and melon seeds in the sugar syrup and boondi mixture.

  10. Mix well and make round shape ladoo.

  11. Garnish the ladoo with raisins or cashews and your ladoo is ready to serve.

9.Mootichoor ladoo –

Mootichoor ladoo is similar to boondi ladooBut the boondi size in this recipe is small.

Ingredients –

  1. Besan or Gram Flour – 1 cup

  2. Water – 1 cup

  3. Sugar – ¾ cup

  4. Rose Essence or Saffron Essence – 2 teaspoon

  5. Pistachios – 6 to 7 pieces

  6. Ghee or Oil – 2 cups

  7. Cardamom Powder – 2 teaspoon

  8. Orange food color – 1 teaspoon

Process –

  1. Take besan in a mixing bowl add water and make the batter.

  2. Add orange food color in the batter and mix it well.

  3. Heat a pan or Kadhai add oil or ghee on medium heat.

  4. Place jhara or boondi ladle over pan or kadhai pour the batter on it.

  5. Fry the boondi well and remove it from pan.

  6. For making sugar syrup heat a pan add sugar and water.

  7. Allow it to cook till one thread consistencyAdd cardamom powder and rose essence or saffron essence and mix it well.

  8. Add fried boondi in the sugar syrup and allow the boondi soaked in sugar syrup.

  9. Make ladoo and garnish with pistachios.

10Rava ladoo-

Rava ladoo is very easy to make homeWith few ingredients, you can make delicious ladooIn this recipe, rava is the main ingredient.

Ingredients –

  1. Rava – 2 cups

  2. Sugar – 1 cup

  3. Water – 1 cup

  4. Ghee- 1 cup

  5. Raisins – ½ cup

  6. Cashews – ½ cup

  7. Cardamom powder – 2 teaspoon

  8. Vanilla essence or rose water or saffron water – 2 teaspoon

Process-

  1. Take a pan or kadhai, heat it on medium flame.

  2. Add ½ cup of ghee adds 2 cups of rava.

  3. Stir it well continuously otherwise, rava will burn.

  4. Take a pan to add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water, heat it on medium flame.

  5. Stir it continuously with the spoon until the sugar gets dissolved completely then turn off the flame.

  6. Add hot sugar syrup in the mixture of ravaAdd cardamom powder and mix it well.

  7. Add ½ cup of raisins and cashews and mix it in the rava and sugar syrup mixture.

  8. You can rose water or saffron water or vanilla essence for better taste.

  9. Allow it cool down for 15 to 20 minutes.

  10. Take the mixture in your hand and make ladoo.

  11. Garnish the ladoo with chopped almonds.

11.Dry fruits ladoo-

Ingredients –

  1. Dates – 1 cup

  2. Almonds – ½ cup

  3. Cashews – ½ cup

  4. Raisins – ½ cup

  5. Dry Figs – 5 pieces

  6. Coconut Powder – 4 teaspoons

  7. Cardamom Powder – 2 teaspoons

Process-

  1. Heat a pan roast the almonds till brown.

  2. Chopped the figs and dates and roast them for 4 minutes.

  3. Take a grinder or mixer pot add roasted almonds, dates, figs, cashews, coconut powder, raisins.

  4. Remove the ground mixture in a bowl and add cardamom powderMix very well.

  5. Make small round shape ladoo taking some portion in your palm.

12Badam ladoo-

In Badam ladoo, almonds are the main ingredientBadam is also called almonds in English.

Ingredients –

  1. Almonds – 1 cup

  2. Sugar or jaggery – 1 cup

  3. Coconut Powder –1 cup (dried)

  4. Raisins – ½ cup

  5. Pistachios – ½ cup (chopped)

  6. Cardamom Powder – 2 to 3 teaspoon

  7. Ghee – ½ cup

Process-

  1. Heat a pan add almonds and roast it until aroma comesMake sure it will not get burnAllow it to cool down.

  2. Roasted the coconut powder in the ghee for 2 minutesAllow it cool.

  3. Add roasted almonds in a blender and grind it well.

  4. Add roasted coconut powder in the blender along with almonds powder and grind it.

  5. Add jaggery or sugar as you like in the mixture of almonds and coconut and grind it well.

  6. Remove the mixture in a plate add raisins and cardamom powder and mix it well.

  7. Take a small portion of the mixture in your hand and make small sized ladoo.

  8. Garnish the ladoo with chopped pistachios.

Note –

  1. If you do not want roast almonds then it is also fine.

  2. Same is for coconut powder if you do not roast itYou can grind them without roast them.

  3. You can use ghee as a blinding component to make ladoo.

  4. You can use sugar instead of jaggery in the ladoo.

13.Moong dal ladoo-

In Moong dal ladoo, moong dal is the main ingredientMoong dal halwa is the very popular dessert in IndiaMoong dal is also called as split mung lentils in English.

Ingredients-

  1. Moong Dal – 1 cup

  2. Sugar – 1 cup

  3. Ghee or Clarified Butter – 1 cup

  4. Cardamom Powder – 3 to 4 teaspoon

  5. Raisins – 5 to 6

Process-

  1. Heat a pan or kadai add 1 cup of moong dalIf you can rinse the moong dal in the water and dried in the natural sunlight spreading it on a trayIf you can it directly as you like.

  2. Roast the moong dal until turns golden brownTurn off the flame.

  3. Remove the dal in a plate and let it cool down.

  4. Take a mixer pot add dal in it and grind it fine.

  5. If you want to avoid the grainy texture then through a fine sieve.

  6. Add the cardamom powder in the fine dal mixture and keep it side.

  7. Grind the sugar to a fine powder.

  8. Add the powdered sugar to the dal mixture and mix it well.

  9. Heat a pan add ghee in it and then add this to the mixture of dal and sugar.

  10. Mix it well with spatula or spoon and allow it to cool down.

  11. Then again mix it well and take mixture in your palm and make rounded ladoo.

  12. Garnish the ladoo with raisins.

15.Malai ladoo-

Malai ladoo is very easy to make at homeYou just need milk and sugar as the main ingredientYou can make this ladoo as a dessert for dinner.

Ingredients –

  1. Fat Milk –4 cups

  2. Cardamom Powder –2 teaspoon

  3. Almonds –3 to 4 (chopped)

  4. Powdered Sugar –5 teaspoon

  5. Rose Water – 1 teaspoon

  6. Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon (as required)

Process –

  1. Heat a pan add 4 cups of milk on low flame till comes to boil.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to the parts of milk and stir itIf the milk does not curdle then add more lemon juice.

  3. After the milk curdles allow it to cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Drain the water from milk and remove the milk solids in another pan.

  5. Cook the solid milk for 2 minutes and stir at intervals.

  6. Allow it cook on medium flame until the whole water evaporateStir at intervals.

  7. Add 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder and rose waterMix very well and allow the mixture to cool completely.

  8. Add the 5 to 6 teaspoon of powdered sugarYou can also add more sugar if you want more sweet ladooMix it well.

  9. Grease your palms with ghee and take small portions of the mixture and make ladoo.

  10. Garnish the ladoo with chopped almonds.

16.Sabudana ladoo-

Sabudana is the main ingredient in the sabudana ladoo recipeThis ladoo you can have on your fasting days like Navratri vrat, Ekadish, Chaturthi, Mahashivratri, etc.

Ingredients –

  1. Sabudana – 1 cup

  2. Coconut Powder – ½ cup

  3. Cardamom Powder – 1 teaspoon

  4. Ghee – 1 cup

  5. Sugar – ½ cup

  6. Cashews – 5 to 6 (chopped)

Process –

  1. Roast the sabudana in a pan or kadhai for 15 minutes on low flameStir it continuously.

  2. Cool the pearls completely and grind it in a mixer or grinder pot.

  3. Heat a pan add coconut powder and stir it for 2 minutes.

  4. In the coconut powder pan add the ground sabudana and powdered sugarMix it well.

  5. Add the hot ghee in the mixture and cardamom powderMix very well.

  6. Take a small portion of the mixture in your palm and make ladoo.

  7. Garnish the ladoo with chopped cashews.

17.Urad Dal Ladoo –

Urad dal is the main ingredient in this recipeThe procedure is the same as moong dal ladoo mixture.

Ingredients –

  1. Urad Dal (Black Gram) – 1 cup

  2. Powdered Sugar – ¾ cup

  3. Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 1 cup

  4. Cardamom Powder – 3 to 4 teaspoon

Process-

  1. Heat a pan add 1 cup of urad dal and stir it continuously on low flame.

  2. Roast the urad dal until the golden brown and remove it in a plate to cool down.

  3. Add the roasted urad dal in a grinder or mixer pot and grind it to a fine powder.

  4. Take a sieve add dal flour and remove in a plate to avoid the grainy texture.

  5. Add the fine sugar to the urad dal flour and mix very well.

  6. Add the ghee in the mixture of sugar and dal flourMix it well.

  7. Let the mixture cool down on room temperature.

  8. When the mixture dense you can make ladoo easily.

18.Puri urundai/murmura ladoo-

Murmura ladoo is liked kids mostIn this recipe, murmura is the main ingredientMurmura is also called puffed rice.

Ingredients –

  1. Puffed rice murmura – 4 cups

  2. Jaggery – 1 cup

  3. Cardamom Powder – 2 teaspoon

  4. Water – 4 teaspoon

  5. Raisins – 4 to 5 pieces

Process-

  1. Heat a pan or kadhai add 4 cups of murmura roast them for 5 minutes.

  2. Turn off the flame.

  3. Heat a pan add grated jaggery and water and allow it to meltTurn off the flame.

  4. Then pass the sieve the melted jaggery and collect the jaggery in another pot.

  5. Heat the pot containing melted jaggery and add cardamom powderStir it continuously.

  6. To check the correct consistency take a bowl add water and pour the melt jaggery through ladleThe melted jaggery convert into droplets and not melt in the water.

  7. Then add puffed rice murmura in the jaggery syrup and mix it well.

  8. Wet your palms slightly with water and make ladoo giving it a spherical shape.

  9. Make sure you must make the ladoo when the mixture is hot otherwise it will thick.

  10. If the mixture is hard then heat it again for few minutes on low flame.

  11. Garnish the ladoo with raisins or as you like.

19.Sattu ladoo –

Sattu ladoo is very easy to make at homeYou need sattu flour, sugar or jaggery and ghee.

Ingredients –

  1. Sattu Flour – 1 cup

  2. Sugar or Jaggery – ½ cup

  3. Ghee – ½ cup

  4. Cardamom Powder – 2 to 3 teaspoon

  5. Almonds – 5 to 6 (chopped)

Process-

  1. Heat a Pan or Kadhai add ghee in it.

  2. Add sattu flour in the ghee and mix it wellRoast it on medium flame.

  3. Roast sattu flour for 2 minutes and remove it in a bowl.

  4. Add grated jaggery and cardamom powder in the sattu flourYou can also add powdered sugar instead of jaggeryMix it well.

  5. Add 2 to 3 tablespoon of ghee in the mixture and mix very well.

  6. Make ladoo when the mixture is warm if you are not able to make ladoo then add few teaspoons of ghee.

  7. Garnish the ladoo with chopped almonds.
